eFocus ("the app", "we", "us") is a WASSCE/BECE past-questions study app for secondary and junior high school students in Ghana. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can request its deletion.

Information we collect

• Phone number — used to verify your identity and link it to your account, so your purchases and progress are tied to a real, recoverable number instead of an anonymous device-only session.
• Purchase and payment records — which packs or subjects you've purchased, and transaction references from our payment processor (Paystack). We do not store your card or Mobile Money details ourselves — payments are processed directly by Paystack.
• Study activity — quiz answers, scores, topics studied, and syllabus progress, used to power features like Continue Where You Left Off and progress tracking.
• Device/technical data — basic app diagnostics and crash reports, used only to fix bugs and improve stability.

How we use this information

Solely to operate the app: verifying your purchases, restoring your access if you reinstall or switch devices, tracking your study progress, and improving the app based on aggregate usage patterns. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-party services

We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, and app infrastructure) and Paystack (payment processing). Each operates under its own privacy policy governing the data it processes on our behalf.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request full deletion at any time — see below.

Children's privacy

eFocus is intended for use by secondary and junior high school students. We do not knowingly collect more information than is necessary to operate the app's core study and purchase features described above.
